Indiana Fever Injury Update: Will Aari McDonald feature against Atlanta Dream?

The Indiana Fever will lock horns against Atlanta Dream on Tuesday, June 10 in the Commissioner's Cup at the Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia. All eyes would be on Aari McDonald, whether she starts against the Dream or not.

The 26-year-old guard is not listed on the team's injury report and will be suiting up for the Tuesday's clash against the Atlanta Dream. Her hardship contract will expire once either Caitlin Clark or Sophie Cunningham recovers from their injury and are cleared to return. With both the players being sidelined from the Tuesday's clash, McDonald remains eligible to play, keeping Indiana's active roster below 10-player threshold. 

However, once Clark or Cunningham are back, the Fever will reach 10 active players which will further pave the way for Aari McDonald's release. Her strong performances has the fan base urging the franchise to give her a permanent spot as she has been brilliant in the two games that she has played. 

Aari McDonald made sure that she took advantage of the chances she got to suit up for the Indiana Fever. McDonald showed her A-game on the court and immediately elevated the team's performance which further helped the team maintain their identity and play the way they want on both ends of the floor.

In the two games that she has played for the Fever, McDonald has averaged 9.5 points on 40.0% shooting, including 36.4% beyond the arc. Not just this, she even has 3.5 assists and 3.0 steals to her name. 

Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark will be sidelined from the clash against the Dream. On the other hand, the Atlanta Dream have Shatori Walker-Kimbrough and Naz Hillmon listed on the team's injury report as questionable.
