Kuldeep Yadav joins Bhuvneshwar Kumar in elite list with stunning 4-fer against UAE in Asia Cup

India left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav bowled a sensational spell of 4/7 as the side bundled out UAE for just 57 runs in the Asia Cup 2025. The 30-year-old was all over the opposing batters, who failed to not only score many runs against him, but also lost their wickets cheaply.

Kuldeep dismissed the likes of Muhammad Waseem, Rahul Chopra, Harshit Kaushik and Haider Ali in his terrific spell of 2.1 overs. He was one of the main reasons why the Men in Blue were able to decimate UAE's batting order for such a low total. 

The fantastic bowling spell saw Kuldeep join an elite list of bowlers. He became the bowler to record the second-best figures in the history of Asia Cup T20, only behind his fellow countryman Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Kuldeep was adjudged as the Player of the Match against UAE and will now be looking to maintain this form in India's next clash of the tournament which will be against arch-rivals Pakkistan on September 14. It will be interesting to see if the left-arm spinner will manage to dominate against the Pakkistan batting order or not.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep has so far played 41 matches for India in the shortest format. He has picked up 73 scalps, including two four-wicket and five-wicket hauls each under his name. His best bowling figures in T20Is are 5/17 and he has also maintained a brilliant economy-rate of 6.72.
