India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has responded to Haris Rauf's controversial '6-0' jet gesture after picking his wicket in the Asia Cup 2025 final against Pakistan, after removing him on an unplayable yorker at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.
Rauf was seen mimicking planes getting shot down towards the fans during the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four between India and Pakistan at the same venue. BCCI registered its complaint to the International Cricket Council (ICC) for his controversial gesture, and Rauf was later fined 30 per cent of his match fees.
Bumrah responded with the same gesture during the title decider. The incident happened on the fifth ball of the 18th ball, and after that, he did Haris' dipping flight gesture with a smile. The clip of the incident went viral on social media. Here is the video.
Coming back to the match, Pakistan was bundled out on 146 runs despite getting a good start by Fakhar Zaman and Sahibzada Farhan. Pakistan lost their first wicket on 84 runs, and after that, the side collapsed before making a competitive total for the title decider.
Kuldeep Yadav was the star of the show with excellent figures of 4/30 in four overs, while Varun Chakaravarthy (2/30), Axar Patel (2/26) and Jasprit Bumrah (2/25) were also among the wickets after India opted to bowl first.
Brief scores:
Pakistan: 146 all out in 19.1 overs (Sahibzada Farhan 57, Fakhar Zaman 46; Kuldeep Yadav 4/30).
