India and Pakistan face off in the Asia Cup 2023 once again as they battle for a place in the final of the continental competition. The Super Fours clash between the two teams is set to take place on Sunday, September 9. Speaking during the pre-match press conference ahead of the clash between arch-rivals, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam spoke about why Pakistan might hold an edge over India in the upcoming fixture.

"Pakistan can say playing a lot in Lanka will give us some edge. We have tried our best to keep the players refreshed with all the games plus travel involved," he said during the press conference.

Babar was also wary of the threat that India could carry in the middle overs of a game. When the two sides met on September 2, the top order was demolished by Shaheen Afridi but Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan brought the team back into the game with their brilliant batting skills.

Speaking about his desire to utilise his bowlers better in the middle order, Babar said, "We want to use middle overs in bowling. Trying out different combinations. Need wickets in the middle overs which we aren't getting. But our fast bowlers are finishing well. Team plays together.

Babar Azam took time out to laud Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah and believes that his team have the best pacer trio in the game and they can win Pakistan many tournaments. "On the 3 pacers - I feel proud with the kind of Pakistan pace attack that we have. Fast bowlers will win you tournaments. We have the best lot. Their strength is their self belief. They back up each other.
