IND vs AUS, 3rd ODI Predicted Playing XI: Ishan to open with Rohit, Ashwin to get another chance, Jadeja likely to be rested

Team India will square off against Australia in the 3rd and final ODI of the series in Rajkot on September 27 (Wednesday). It will be a crucial match for both teams as it is going to be their last official one-dayer before the ODI World Cup 2023. For the Men in Blue, big guns like captain Rohit Sharma, maverick batter Virat Kohli, star all-rounder Hardik Pandya and deceptive spinner Kuldeep Yadav will return to the fold after being rested from the opening two matches of the series. Also, Jasprit Bumrah will be available for selection after being rested from the second ODI.

Shubman Gill and Shardul Thakur have been rested for the final match while Ruturaj Gaikwad and Mukesh Kumar have left the Indian squad as they get ready to leave for Hangzhou for the Asian Games. Axar Patel, who is part of India's World Cup squad is still recovering from his injury at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

So with the pool of players available for selection, let's take a look at what India's outlook against Australia could be in the final match of the series.

India Predicted Playing XI for 3rd ODI against Australia

Openers: With Gill rested, Ishan Kishan is likely to be promoted at the top of the order and the left-handed batter will open the innings alongside captain Rohit.

Middle-order: Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul will form the backbone of India's batting line-up. With all three batters amongst the runs of late, it would be fascinating to watch the stylish right-handed batters play their natural game.

All-rounders: Hardik Pandya will occupy the No.6 position. There is a change that Ravindra Jadeja might be rested for the game and Ravichandran Ashwin gets another go at the Aussies.

Bowlers: Kuldeep Yadav will get into the playing XI while Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj are likely to all feature in the final match of the series.
