In a big blow to India's women's team Sneh Rana has been ruled out of the ongoing second ODI against Australia women after a nasty collision with Pooja Vastrakar during the match. Meanwhile, Harleen Deol has been named as Rana's replacement as a concussion substitute for the remainder of the match at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on December 30, Saturday.

BCCI Women took to their official official ‘X’ handle, previously known as Twitter, gave massive update on Rana’s injury. “Sneh Rana complained of headache after a collision while fielding during the second ODI against Australia. She has been taken for scans and she will not take any further part in the ongoing ODI. Harleen Deol has been named as a concussion substitute,” the post read.

 

 

During the 25th over of Australia's innings in the match, a scary collision took place between Rana, who was positioned at short third man, and Pooja Vastrakar, fielding at backward point. Vastrakar and Rana both were in immense pain following the incident. However Vastrakar managed to stand up while Rana stayed down for a more extended period before eventually leaving the field with an ice pack applied to her head. Rana temporarily left the field for medical attention but came back to bowl her full allotment of 10 overs. Rana finished with figures of one for 59, successfully claiming the wicket of Ashleigh Gardner.
