Sanju Samson showcased his batting prowess against Bangladesh in the third T20I, hitting five consecutive sixes in Rishad Hossain's 10th over. This onslaught contributed to his maiden T20I century, as he finished with a score of 111 runs from 47 deliveries. With this he also cracked second fastest T20I century for India.

The most impressive aspect of Samson's innings was his ability to accelerate quickly. In the 10th over, he scored 30 runs off the last six balls, including five consecutive sixes. This remarkable feat was the second-highest number of runs scored by an Indian batsman in a single T20I over, surpassed only by Yuvraj Singh's iconic six sixes against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup.

While Samson's achievement was remarkable, it is worth noting that other Indian pairs have previously scored more runs in a single over. In January, Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh combined for 36 runs against Afghanistan. Moreover, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Tilak Varma scored 30 runs in a T20I against Australia last year.

Besides Samson, Suryakumar also set the Rajiv Gandhi stadium ablaze with this blitzkrieg in which he cracked 75 off 35 riding on five sixes and eight fours while playing a perfect second fiddle to Kerala batter.

In the later stages of the innings, Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag launched a powerful assault on the Bangladesh bowlers, scoring 70 runs for the fourth wicket. Pandya and Parag's aggressive batting included four fours and four sixes each. India ended up posting a colossal total of 297 runs. With this India recorded the highest total by a full-member team in T20I history.
