Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has given Team India a massive injury scare ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025 final. India stormed into the Champions Trophy 2025 final after crushing World Champions Australia by four wickets in the thrilling semifinal at the Dubai Internationals stadium on March 4.

Hardik Pandya played an instrumental role in India's win over Australia besides Virat Kohli but ended up handing them a big injury scare just before the grand finale which is scheduled to be played on March 9.
Hardik Pandya sustained a leg injury during the intense semifinal against Australia. Despite the dismissal of the dangerous looking Hardik Pandya, India notched up a dramatic four-wicket win, propelling them into the Champions Trophy 2025 final. But it was the chase master Virat Kohli, who took the game away from Australia with his well-crafted 84 runs off 98 balls to help India chase down 265-run target.
While Kohli's innings was crucial to India's win, he was not the sole contributor. The Indian batting lineup displayed a collective effort, with valuable contributions from Rohit Sharma (28), Shreyas Iyer (45), Axar Patel (27), KL Rahul (42 not out), and Hardik Pandya (28).
Among these contributions, Pandya's innings proved particularly impactful. His aggressive 28 runs, scored off just 24 balls and featuring one boundary and three sixes, shifted the momentum of the match, putting the Australian bowlers under immense pressure. However, this impactful performance was preceded by a big injury scare. During the 47th over, Pandya appeared to suffer a leg injury while running between the wickets, prompted by a call from KL Rahul.
The incident occurred during the 47th over, when Adam Zampa delivered a short leg-spin delivery. Pandya responded by playing the ball towards extra cover and immediately set off for a single. Displaying his characteristic aggression, Pandya initially intended to complete a second run, but KL Rahul intervened, signaling him to stop and return to his crease.
In the process of halting his run, Pandya appeared to strain his leg. He was visibly limping and in discomfort following the sudden stop. Despite the evident pain, Pandya kept on batting before he fell prey to Nathan Ellis in the 48th over. However, his dismissal didn't hamper India's chase.
Meanwhile, India's former star players Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh lauded Pandya following India's four-wicket win over Australia.

Meanwhile Harbhajan too took to X to applaud Pandya's crucial contribution to India's win.

However, BCCI is yet to come up with an update on Pandya's injury but it will be a big blow for India if the star all-rounder ended up missing the Champions Trophy final.
