Ace spinner Kuldeep Yadav was one of India's match heroes in Champions Trophy 2025 final. Kuldeep Yadav combined with Varun Chakravarthy to rip through the New Zealand's batting line-up which played an instrumental role in India's four-wicket win in the final which extended India's Champions Trophy title count to three.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep offered high praise for Rohit Sharma's captaincy and is amazed the way Hitman managed India's four spinners in the Champions Trophy. Kuldeep credited Rohit for effectively utilising the spin quartet of himself, Varun Chakravarthy, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel. These four spinners were instrumental in India's Champions Trophy 2025 title triumph in Dubai.

“It’s very difficult to manage four spinners and the way he managed, it was amazing to see,” Kuldeep told Sky Sports Cricket.

“When four spinners are playing together, it is very hard to rotate any of them. Obviously the planning was going on, we played our last game in Dubai on March 4 and we got plenty, like four or five days of break and then we had a chat how we go about this game. The plan for me and Varun was to bowl to the new batter. We wanted to finish Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel’s over before Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell come to bat,” he further added.

In the crucial early stages of the match, Chakravarthy delivered much-needed breakthrough for India, successfully trapping Will Young lbw in the eighth over which disrupted New Zealand's momentum. Shortly thereafter, Kuldeep Yadav further compounded their troubles, dismissing Rachin Ravindra with a well-executed googly in the eleventh over. Kuldeep then grabbed another key wicket, accepting a straightforward return catch to remove Kane Williamson.

Following these key dismissals, Kuldeep Yadav shed light on the collaborative aspect of India's spin attack. He then explained how this teamwork had been instrumental in enhancing his performance and contributing to the team's overall success throughout the tournament.

“I’ve been bowling with Varun from last five or six years, you know, we were part of KKR. He had a fantastic domestic season and then he played T20Is for India, he has been brilliant,” Kuldeep concluded.
