A black cat entered the field during the Pakistan vs Karachi ODI tri-series final at the National Stadium in Karachi. The game was halted because of an uninvited guest at the field. The incident happened after the 24th over when a cat ran onto the field and came close to the pitch during New Zealand's chase of 243.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) took their 'X' formerly known as Twitter to share the clip where the commentator Danny Morrison can be heard saying "Joining the Blackcaps is the black cat". The video went viral on the social sphere. 

Coming back to the match, After opting to bat, Mohammad Rizwan-led Pakistan managed to score 242 runs in 49.3 overs where apart from skipper Rizwan and Salman Agha no other batter managed to score more than 40 runs. While coming to chase New Zealand stars Daryl Mitchell (57), Tom Latham (56), Devon Conway (48), and Kane Williamson (34) helped the visitors to register a five-wicket win to seal the ODI tri-nation series.

After this ODI tri-nation series, both teams will lock horns against each other in the opener clash of Champions Trophy 2025 on February 19 at the same venue.
