Highlights:

India beat New Zealand by four wickets in Champions Trophy 2025 final.

Rohit Sharma was awarded Player of the Match for Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand.

Rohit Sharma-led Team India are scheduled to depart separately after winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai. India's separate departure rules out the possibility of an open-top bus parade that had been held after the T20 World Cup 2024 win last year. As the Indian Premier League is scheduled to start from March 22, the players are expected to take a short break before the cash-rich league.

As per new agency IANS, besides players leaving separately from Dubai for their hometowns/destinations, one major reason behind no bus parade in Mumbai is that the final leg of WPL 2025 starts at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium from Monday. As a result of this, providing security for a bus parade will not be possible.

Team India remained unbeaten throughout the tournament as they defeated Bangladesh, Pakistan and New Zealand in their group stage matches. After that, the Men in Blue defeated Australia in the semifinal to face New Zealand for the finale.

Rohit Sharma-led India defeated New Zealand by four wickets in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final to clinch the title. India captain Rohit Sharma was awarded Player of the Match for his 76 run knock in the final.

After winning the title, Team India became the most successful team in Champions Trophy history as the Champions Trophy 2025 was the third win for the Men in Blue. The first one was shared with Sri Lanka in 2002, and the second title came under MS Dhoni's captaincy in 2013.
