After a flurry of gold medals in their first four finals of Day 11, the India men's hockey team wrapped up the country's Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022 campaign with a loss in the final to recurring champions Australia in Birmingham on Monday, August 8. It was a disappointing loss for India, who were condemned to a 7-0 defeat but will be proud to ensure that they returned back with a silver medal.

This is India's third loss to Australia in the CWG final, having previously lost in 2010 and 2014 as well.

Tom Wickham (1), Nathan Ephraums (2), Jacob Anderson (2), Blake Govers (1) and Flynn Ogilvie (1) were the goalscorers for Australia as they completely dominated the competition yet again to win their 67th gold in the ongoing competition.
