India dominate on Day 1
On the first day of the third Test match, India closed at 326/5 in 86 overs, with Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav not out on 110 and 1 run, respectively.
The day began challenging for the home team, losing their first three batsmen at just 33 runs on the board. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill, who had impressive scores of 209 and 104 in the previous Test, were dismissed for 10 and 0 runs, respectively. Rajat Patidar also had a brief stay, departing with just 9 runs to his name.

However, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja quickly steadied the ship, forging a 204-run partnership off 329 deliveries for the fourth wicket. Rohit contributed 131 runs from 196 balls, including 14 fours and three sixes, marking his 12th Test century. Jadeja, too, hit a significant milestone, securing his 4th Test century and his second hundred at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
Jadeja's partnership with the lower order added 77 runs for the fifth wicket, injecting momentum into India's innings. Heading into Day 2, the team will look to build on their strong position and extend their score further.
