Kane Williamson-led New Zealand have put up a sensational fightback in the ongoing second Test against England. In reply to England's first innings' 435/8 dec, Kiwis were first reduced to 209 and then got a follow-on. Little did Ben Stokes' side know that Black Caps would come stronger in the second innings. In the second innings, riding on Williamson's cracking century, New Zealand posted a whopping total of 483 to lead the Englishmen by 210 runs. On Day 4, England's score read at 48/1 with the visitors needing 210 runs to win on last day.

Beside Williamson's stunning batting, one more thing which hogged the limelight was Michael Bracewell's bizarre run-out which left the Twitterati comparing it with Harmanpreet Kaur's run-out which took place during India vs Australia's contest in the just concluded Women's T20 World Cup semifinal few days back.

In the 159th over of New Zealand's second innings, right-handed Kiwi batsman Tom Blundell smacked English left-arm spinner Jack Leach to deep midwicket. While Tom Blundell and Michael Bracewell were taking the third run, Bracewell had a lazy run and did not draw his bat while completing his run. Ben Stokes threw the ball towards the striker's end, where wicketkeeper Ben Foakes received it, removed the bails and appealed for a run out.

Initially, it looked like Bracewell was well inside the crease, but the replay left everyone surprised as his bat and feet were both in the air when the bails were taken off.

Similar incident happened in the Women's T20 World Cup 2023 semifinal match where India skipper Harmanpreet's bat got stuck in pursuit of completing the double and Australia wicketkeeper dislodged the bails.

The Twitterati couldn't help but compared Bracewell's run out with Harmanpreet's.
