As Pakistan lost two Test matches in the space of a week against England and with it the series as well, vexation is likely to encircle the Pakistan dressing room. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has been under a great deal of disappointment with back-to-back Test series defeats at home. First, mighty Australia won the three-match series 1-0 earlier in the year and now Ben Stokes-led Three Lions have secured a historic Test series win. Pakistan captain has come under fire as the Men in Green have lost back-to-back Test series at home under his leadership and the rising levels of frustration seem to have taken a toll on Babar during the press conference.

The reporter disingenuously said that Babar and Mohammad Rizwan should stick to playing T20 cricket. The Pakistan captain did not take kindly to that question and seemed visibly irked by it. Here's what happened.

Reporter: “Babar yeh fans k taraf se ek sawal hai, unka kehna tha Babar aur Rizwan jo hain, unko apna focus T20 pe karna chahiye, kyuki jaise woh out hote hain puri team down ho jati hain (This question is from the fans, who feel that Babar and Rizwan should focus in T20s. As they get out the rest of the team crumbles.)”

Babar interrupts: “Toh aap keh rahe hain Test chhor de? (So you are saying, we should stop playing Test?)”

Reporter: “Aap kya soch rahe hain is baare mein, T20 mein jaana chahiye (What are your thoughts on it, should you play T20?)”

Babar: “Sir, aisa kuch nahi soch rahe hum (Sir I'm not thinking anything like that.)”

In the second innings of the second Test match in Multan, Babar was sent packing for one run after leaving Ollie Robinson's delivery that nipped back in and rattled his woodwork. In the first innings, the stylish right-handed batter played a solid knock of 75 runs. Rizwan could only manage 10 and 30 respectively in the two innings in Multan Test.
