Pakistan vs England third Test match will start from October 24.

England Cricket Board (ECB) announced England's playing XI for the upcoming third Test match against Pakistan which is scheduled to start from October 24 to 28 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. Ben Stokes & C0. make two changes to their playing XI from the last game considering the pitch and conditions in Rawalpindi. They have added Rehan Ahmed and Gus Atkinson in place of pacers Brydon Carse and Matthew Potts who featured in the Multan Test.

After a humiliating loss in the first Test match, Pakistan made a stunning comeback in the second clash defeating England by 152 runs to level the three-Test match series. Shan Masood & Co. were brutally trolled after they lost the first Test match despite scoring more than 500 runs in the first Test match. However, they made a comeback after defeating the visitors by making several changes in their squad. The Men in Green will now look to continue their winning momentum by winning the third Test match to clinch first-ever Test series under Shan Masood's leadership.

England are eager to secure a series victory, just like their success from their previous tour to Pakistan in 2022, where they triumphed 3-0. This presents them with an opportunity to make history by achieving back-to-back series wins in Pakistan.

In terms of the announced playing XI, Rehan Ahmed is set to make his return to Test cricket after last featuring against India earlier this year in Rajkot. In that match, he picked up three wickets but faced challenges with his consistency in line and length. Over his four Test appearances, Rehan managed to get 18 scalps. Meanwhile, Atkinson, who participated in the first Test and took four wickets, sat out the last game to rest.

England playing XI: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes (C), Jamie Smith, Gus Atkinson, Rehan Ahmed, Jack Leach, Shoaib Bashir
