India will face South Africa for the T20 World Cup 2024 final.

Former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif motivated Virat Kohli ahead of the India vs South Africa T20 World Cup 2024 final which will be played on June 29 at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. Kaif gave the example of MS Dhoni's performance in the ODI World Cup 2024 where India registered a historic win against Sri Lanka in the final at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Kaif said that Kohli need to remember Dhoni was not even at his peak in the whole tournament but he got his mojo back in the finale.

India's star batter Virat Kohli is going through a lean patch in the ongoing T20 World Cup. He has scored only 75 runs across 7 innings in this edition of the mega event including two golden ducks.

“Virat Kohli needs to remember that even Dhoni didn't have a great World Cup in 2011 but he found form in the final. Small suggestion: He is too good a player to slog, he can play ball on merit and dominate any bowling attack” said Kaif on X (formerly known as twitter).

Team India have stormed unbeaten into the final where they face South Africa on June 29 at Kensington Oval Barbados. However, there are chances that the T20 World Cup 2024 final will be washed out due to rain.

Rain may try to play its part, but there's a backup plan

A reserve day is in place for the final, ensuring a result even if the weather disrupts June 29's schedule. However, the priority remains completing the match on the original day. Only if a minimum of 10 overs per side isn't possible will the game move to the reserve day.

But what if rain spoils the T20 World Cup final's reserve day too?

In that case, both India and South Africa will be declared joint champions, similar to the 2002 Champions Trophy final between India and Sri Lanka.
