There are hardly a few things that match the craze of the India vs Pakistan clash and it only gets much more when it is happening in an ICC tournament. Fans and celebrities across the globe are equally thrilled for the collision between arch-rivals. T20 World Cup 2024 will be the first time that these two sides will clash on the United States soil. The match will take place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, on June 9 (Sunday). Ahead of the big clash, former Bollywood actor Ali Zafar gave some advice to Babar Azam and the Pakistan cricket team.
Ali Zafar's advice to Babar Azam
Ali Zafar posted a video from his official ‘X’ account formerly known as Twitter, he wished the Men in Green luck for the India game but also addressed the loss against the USA. He asked Babar Azam to lead his side from the front and set an example.
"I don't believe in criticism or criticism for the sake of criticism. I think it should be constructive...because we love our team, our nation," Zafar captioned the video he posted on the 'X'.
"Looking at a captain, we want to be inspired. If you are listening, Babar, a leader or captain is a leader because he leads from the front....a leader's speciality is that a leader is fearless and has no self-doubt. That is why he is a leader. So what we expect from you, Babar, is that you go into the field with that same belief and confidence. Winning and losing is part of the game, but face it and play with fear because you are an amazing player," said Zafar.
Ali Zafar's remark on Pakistan player's fitness
The former Bollywood star also talked about players' mental and physical fitness. He also told them to have pride in their language and have a translator to translate their messages.
"There are global standards for fitness, you can't survive without that. I won't take the name of the player but I think we should really focus on (fitness)...And it's not just physical fitness. The body follows the mind. So mental fitness is (also) very important. The decisions that you take in mind get manifested in your physical reality. We should be proud of our culture and language. It's not that you are considered 'cool' only if you talk in English. Talk freely in your own language. A translator can come and translate. Many players around the world talk in their own language with pride. Best wishes...khel lena bas (just play)," he concluded
