Yuvraj Singh has been named as the brand ambassador of the T20 World Cup 2024.

Legendary Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has been appointed as the brand ambassador of the upcoming T20 World Cup, which is set to begin on June 1. Speaking to ICC, Yuvraj Singh talked about Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He said that they have been great players for India and deserve to go when they want.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli did not participate in the T20I format for more than a year after India suffered defeat in the 2022 World Cup. However, they made a comeback in January 2024 against Afghanistan during the T20I series, where Kohli had a quiet outing but Rohit hit a scintillating century after two straight ducks in the series. Now, the stalwarts are expected to be the first two names in the T20 World Cup squad for India.

Yuvraj Singh said that he wants to see a lot of younger guys come into the team and make the T20 side for the next World Cup. His comments come ahead of the Indian team selection for the World Cup, which will be held in the US and West Indies in June.

"As you get older people start talking about your age and they forget about your form," Yuvraj started. These guys have been great players for India and they deserve to go (retire) when they want," Yuvraj Singh told ICC ahead of the T20 World Cup.

"I would like to see more younger players in the T20 format, because it gets the load off them (experienced players) playing 50-over (ODIs) and Test matches. After this (T20) World Cup I would like to see a lot of younger guys come into the team and make the T20 side for the next World Cup," said Yuvraj Singh, who joined Chris Gayle and Olympic medallist Usain Bolt as the Brand ambassador of the upcoming T20I World Cup.
