Former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg is not happy with certain calls made during the high-octane T20 World Cup 2022 clash between India and Pakistan, especially in the last over. Hogg questioned the no ball call off the fourth delivery of the final over. Hogg believes that the no ball should have been reviewed. Also, he feels the three runs Kohli and Dinesh Karthik ran off the free hit delivery were not legitimate.

“Why was no ball not reviewed, then how can it not be a dead ball when Kohli was bowled on a free hit,” Hogg wrote in a tweet.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz followed up the no ball with a wide delivery. He beat Kohli’s bat on the free hit delivery and hit the stumps. However, the ball ricochet off the stumps and went to the third man. Kohli and Karthik sprinted between the wickets to get three runs which went down in the scorecard as byes.

According to Hogg, the on-field umpires should have called it a dead ball. However, the rules clearly state that the batters can score runs via ones twos or threes after getting bowled as well.

Earlier, the 51-year-old questioned Axar Patel's run out as well. He felt that Mohammad Rizwan had not collected the ball properly and dislodged the bails with his gloves instead of having the ball in his hands.

In addition, he came in support of Ravichandran Ashwin as many questioned whether he knew he had not taken Shan Masood's catch cleanly. He quoted a tweet from Fox Cricket where Ashwin was accused of "cheating".

In the end, India won the match by four wickets off the final ball of the over as Ashwin kept his cool to hit one over mid off fielder.
