Following the Netherlands' incredible win over South Africa in the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia, India legend Sachin Tendulkar was unable to stop himself from taking a dig at the Proteas, who have been knocked out of the T20 World Cup early on Sunday morning, November 6.

The Proteas failed to defeat the Dutch minnows with a win required for them to qualify for the semifinals in their final Super-12 game. They have now been knocked out of the tournament with five points from five matches.

After the match, Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to crack a joke and said that he wanted to go for some Dutch for today's breakfast. "Went for breakfast with a friend. Told him we'll go Dutch. He almost choked at the proposition!"

The fans on social media were in splits after seeing Sachin's tweets and could not help but resharing his statement.

Following the loss, Proteas skipper Temba Bavuma said that he could not wrap his head around it at the end of the game. He rued the fact that South Africa had to exit early despite playing some good cricket in the tournament this time around.

The Dutchmen have to be commended for their efforts as they used the ground dimensions to perfection and tactically outplayed their opponents to cause one of the biggest upsets of the tournament. With South Africa crashing out of the tournament, India gained qualification into the semi-final and it also gave a chance for Pakistan and Bangladesh to play out a knock-out in their final match of the Super-12 stage
