Two of the top-ranked teams - India and Australia - will square off in the second edition of the World Test Championship final at a neutral venue which will make the contest even more compelling. It will be for the first time in two decades that India and Australia will lock horns in an ICC tournament final. The last time these two sides locked horns in an ICC final was in 2003 when Australia defeated India in the ODI World Cup final. The 2023 WTC final will be played between June 7 and June 11 at The Oval, London.

India finished runners-up in the last edition of WTC as they lost the final against New Zealand. This time, Rohit Sharma's brigade would look to cross the final hurdle and bring an end to their ICC trophy drought.

The Indian team and almost all the players, except for the ones who were part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 final, have reached the U.K. and are currently acclimatising to the conditions in England. In the various pictures shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on its social media handles, the Indian players can be spotted preparing at the Arundel Castle Cricket Club for the marquee clash.

In a video, India captain Rohit Sharma was spotted toiling hard in an intense net session as he received throwdowns from the support staff.

Rohit, the batter, will be key for India's chance of lifting the WTC title. In the 2021-23 WTC cycle, the 'Hitman' is the fourth-leading run-getter for the country, only behind Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. The Indian skipper has aggregated 700 runs in 10 matches with the help of two half-centuries and as many centuries.
