Former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif lavished praise on all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for his performance during the Gabba Test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Jadeja who was benched in the first two Test matches against Australia scored 77 runs in his first outing in the third Test taking place in Brisbane.
Kaif suggested Rohit Sharma-led side to not drop Ravindra Jadeja for the remaining three Test matches of the ongoing five-Test match series. The batter took 'X' to hail India all-rounder.
"India can think of dropping a batsman but not Jadeja. Unlike the top order, he didn't play and miss. He looked the most comfortable Indian batsman here. India on this tour have failed to put their best playing XI on the field. Hope it changes in the last two Tests" posted Kaif.
India's top order failed to perform at Gabba as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Rishabh Pant got out on single-digit scores. KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja are the only batters who scored more than 50 runs. India saved follow-on as Akash Deep and Jasprit Bumrah put a stand of 39 runs. While writing this copy, The play has been stopped due to bad light. India are trailing by 193 runs.
