Washington Sundar got out on a duck in 2nd innings of Lord's Test.

The England Cricket Board (ECB) brutally trolled India all-rounder Washington Sundar after he got out on a four-ball duck in the third Test match against England at Lord's Stadium in London. Sundar, who picked up a four-wicket haul during the second innings, failed to perform with the bat as England are inching towards their second win of the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025.

England Cricket took their 'X', formerly known as Twitter, to take a dig at Sundar. With Sundar coming in to bat ahead of Nitish Kumar Reddy, the Tamil Nadu allrounder could last just 4 balls, getting dismissed for a duck by Jofra Archer who pulled off an excellent catch to pull off the dismissal. The England Cricket X account quoted a 2015 tweet by Archer where the pacer had posted “How long it take to get to Washington ?” leading to England X answering “4 balls”.

During India's bowling, Sundar, who faced a lot of criticism over his selection, proved the critics wrong by pulling the game in  India’s favour after breaking the ominous partnership between England’s skipper Ben Stokes and their most experienced batter Joe Root. Sundar picked up Root's wicket before he snapped up Stokes and Jamie Smith. He then wrapped up England’s innings by removing the last man, Shoaib Bashir.

“We want so many things the way we expect it to be, but yes, we’ll take it any day. We’ll really come out positive tomorrow. We’ve got some solid batsmen in the dressing room. It’s exciting in every way, you know, winning a Test in Lord’s is going to be amazing. So, I think we’re sitting pretty,” he had said after the 4th Day’s play.

Coming back to the third Test, India speedster Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are working hard to chase down the total and England are looking to take two more wickets to win the third Test. The five-Test match series is currently tied 1-1 after the two Tests.
