The toss for the first T20I between India and New Zealand was on November 18 (Friday) delayed due to heavy rains and the grounds remained under covers, the official Twitter handle of New Zealand Cricket announced. Both teams remain indoors and were also spotted playing 'Football volleyball' in order to keep themselves warm and ready for the high-octane match.
"Heavy rain around Wellington means the covers are on and the toss is delayed until further notice," said a post on BlackCaps Twitter handle.
After the just concluded T20 World Cup failure, bigwigs-less India will look to start afresh in the T20I series against New Zealand with their new leader Hardik Pandya. The Men in Blue and Kiwis will lock horns with each other in the T20I series opener at the Wellingtonattack-at-all-costsn Friday (November 18).
