'It does not matter...': Devdutt Padikkal makes big statement on India role after heroics against Sri Lanka

In a series of interesting updates, Devdutt Padikkal has expressed his wish to stay flexible about his rule in the Indian team, saying that representing the country remains his top priority. The left-handed batter said he would have no hesitation in adjusting to different batting positions if the team requires him to do so in the future. His statement came after a memorable series against Sri Lanka, where his centuries in both Tests made him become Player of the Series.

Padikkal grabbed the chance with both hands and made his case strong to remain in the scheme of things for the upcoming Test series against in November, with Sudharsan being out.

“Honestly, I am just happy to score runs. It does not matter where I do it. It can be at number 3. It can be anywhere else. It does not matter. Honestly, for me it is important that the team wins and as long as I am contributing to those wins, I am happy," said Padikkal at the post-game presentation.
