The Indian Premier League (IPL) has become synonymous with thrilling cricket, with its finals often showcasing the best of what T20 cricket has to offer. Over the years, these climactic encounters have seen both monumental totals and dramatic batting collapses. With IPL 2024 wrapped up which saw Shreyas Iyer-led KKR clinching their third title with stunning win over SRH in the final, let's have a look at the highest and lowest scores in IPL final history.

Highest Score in IPL Final History

The record for the highest score in an IPL final is held by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), who set a towering total in the 2016 IPL final. Facing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, SRH posted an impressive 208/7 in their 20 overs. The innings was powered by a sensational 85 off 58 balls from captain David Warner, and useful contributions from Yuvraj Singh and Ben Cutting, the latter providing a fiery cameo of 39 runs from just 15 deliveries. This substantial total set the stage for a thrilling chase, with RCB falling just short at 200/7, making SRH the champions.

On the other end of the spectrum, the lowest total in an IPL final has also been recorded by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2024 final. Sunrisers Hyderabad's batting woes came to a head in the worst possible moment, as they were bundled out for a meager 113 runs in the 2024 IPL final against Kolkata Knight Riders at Chennai's M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on May 26, 2024. This score not only sealed their fate in the match but also etched their name in the record books for the lowest total ever recorded in an IPL final. Previously, Chennai Super Kings had this unwanted record against their name, who were restricted to 125 for nine by Mumbai Indians in the 2013 final.
