Jake Fraser-McGurk steals show in Delhi

Jake Fraser-McGurk has made a name for himself in just five matches. He has smashed three half-centuries so far and two of them just came in 15 balls. He targeted MI bowlers from the very first ball and set the base for DC to reach a massive score.

He played an astonishing knock of 84 runs off just 27 balls and rattled MI's bowling line-up. However, things didn't go on Mumbai's side after his departure as Shai Hope (41 off 17 balls), Tristan Stubbs (48 not out off 25 balls), and Rishabh Pant (29 off 19 balls) took the charge from there, and provided the finishing touch to the innings and took the score to 257/8.

Hardik Pandya's valiant knock

Things didn't go in Hardik's favour with the balls as he gave away 41 runs in just 2 overs. However, he fought back in the second innings and provided his team with much-needed momentum after they lost three big wickets of Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakuamr Yadav inside the batting powerplay itself. He smashed 46 runs off just 24 balls and kept MI in the game despite early blows.

Tilak and Tim's stand in vain

Young Tilak Varma and Tim David joined an astonishing 70-run partnership off just 29 balls. However, it was not enough to ensure their win. Tim got out after scoring 37 runs off 17 balls in the 18th over. However, Tilak kept on fighting even after his departure but got run out in the final over after scoring 63 runs off just 32 balls. However, it was not enough to put MI over the line. For Delhi Capitals, Rasikh Dar Salam was the star bowler as he picked up three big wickets of Mohammad Nabi, Nehal Wadhera, and Hardik Pandya.
