Gujarat's batting faltered entirely, collapsing to a meager 89 runs after just 17.3 overs. In reply, the Capitals chased down the target effortlessly in a mere 8.5 overs. While the low scoring affair didn't significantly impact the IPL's Orange Cap standings, there was an interesting twist for Gujarat captain Shubman Gill. Despite managing only eight runs himself, Gill's position improved in the leaderboard. Apparently he displaced former Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma from fifth place in the standings.
