Indian Premier League 2024 was a roller coaster ride for Royal Challengers Bengaluru as they were tenth in the points table tally when the season started but later on the franchise made a remarkable comeback by winning six consecutive matches which helped them to qualify for the playoffs where they faced Rajasthan Royals but unfortunately the franchise lost that game by four wickets and got out of the tournament. Virat Kohli who was scoring constantly throughout the season was seen emotional after his franchise lost their do-or-die clash.
RCB shared a video of dressing room where Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik were seen sad after their loss in the ongoing cash rich league, here is the clip.
Virat Kohli on RCB Loss
“Started expressing ourselves, started playing for our own self-respect. And then the confidence came back and the way we turned things around and we qualified was truly special. Something that I'll always, always cherish and remember because it took a lot of character and heart from each member of this team. Something that we can be really proud of. And eventually we played the way that we wanted to play” said Virat Kohli on a video shared by RCB
Dinesh Karthik on RCB Loss
Karthik who played his last IPL clash reckoned that in sport their is no fairlytale ending. He also revealed that there was dew in the clash and that helped RR to bat well
“Things turned around, winning 6 out of 6. We felt like, wow, this is going to be the year. But sport, as always. There's no fairytale endings, there's always a hard day, one day which doesn't go your way, and today was the day. But then as always in the evening game, the dew came in, became much better the bat on but still should be really proud of the boys I thought the boulders, fielders and the batters fought right up to the end and that's all you can ask for in sport the attitude matters. The belief in wanting to do something special matters and on both counts I think RCB had a very very special season” said Dinesh Karthik.
