IPL 2023: Naveen-ul-Haq takes another veiled jibe at Virat Kohli after his record-breaking century goes in vain

And after the match, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer Naveen-ul-Haq did not miss another opportunity to take a dig at the star batter, with whom he had a disagreement in their last encounter against each other.

The Afghanistan pacer shared a viral photo of an anchor, who is known for laughing when a situation similar to the final IPL game takes place in football. In the game between RCB and GT, it was Shubman Gill who produced a similar situation, leading the team in their chase down of 198 runs.

 

Naveen who had a verbal spat with former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper that embroiled in a huge controversy. Naveen did not lose his cool and gestured for the crowd to chant even louder in the viral video that has been making rounds on the internet.

The Afghan recruit was fined 50 per cent of his match fee for breaching for Level 1 offence under Article 2.21 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct. On the other hand, Kohli and LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir were fined 100 per cent of their match fee for committing a Level 2 offence under Article 2.21 of the IPL Code of Conduct.

Naveen had an altercation with Kohli when he was batting in LSG’s run chase.

The fans were waiting in anticipation at watching another match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore which would have once again put Naveen-ul-Haq and Kohli against each other. If the Bangalore-based franchise had managed to eke out a win against the defending champions on Sunday, they would have faced Lucknow in the crunch Eliminator 1.
