The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is alive and kicking. A total of 16 matches have been played in IPL 2023 and the franchises involved have provided immense entertainment to their loyal supporters. After 12 days of action in the cash-rich tournament, all teams have played at least three matches each while Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals have played four games each. Furthermore, no team is unbeaten in the ongoing season of the IPL.

When it comes to the race for Orange Cap, Punjab Kings' captain and stylish batter, Shikhar Dhawan leads the race. DC skipper Warner rose to second place after another half-century while Tilak Varma jumped to seventh place.

1. Shikhar Dhawan: The Punjab Kings skipper has aggregated 225 runs in three matches at a strike rate of 149.01. The southpaw is currently averaging 225 in the ongoing season as he has only been dismissed once in three innings.

2. David Warner: The Delhi Capitals' captain has registered 209 runs in four matches so far at a strike rate of 114.84 and an average of 52.25.

3. Rututaj Gaikwad: The right-handed batter has so far scored 189 runs in three innings at a strike rate of 161.54 and an average of 94.50.
