For his fantastic spell with the ball and handy contribution with the bat, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja bagged yet another Man of the Match award in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on May 10 (Wednesday). In his spell of four overs with the ball, the left-arm spinner bagged one wicket and gave away just 19 runs. With the bat, the left-handed explosive batter scored 21 runs off 16 balls with the help of a four and a six.

After the game, Jadeja spoke at length about the conditions at Chepauk and why visiting teams tend to struggle at CSK's home ground.

"As a spinner, feels good when the ball is turning and holding. We practise here, we know what's the ideal length and pace. The visiting team needs time to adapt. We are taking advantage of the home conditions. Everyone's doing their job. We are doing a good job collectively," Cricbuzz quoted Jadeja as saying during the post-match presentation ceremony.

When quizzed about his batting position, Jadeja came up with an honest reply and said if he bats higher up the order then the fans will wait for him to get out so that they can watch MS Dhoni bat.

"I keep hearing Mahi bhai's chants. If I bat higher, then the crowd will wait for me to get out. As long as the team wins, I am happy," Jadejaj added.

Meanwhile, four-time champions CSK rode on a complete team performance and defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 27 runs at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday. The Men in Yellow knocked David Warner's men on the doors of elimination while improving their record to seven wins after playing 12 matches. With 15 points, MS Dhoni's men are just one win away from qualifying for the playoffs.
