Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 which is set to be held in the USA and West Indies. Star all-rounder Rashid Khan will be leading the side in the mega tournament and will get the help of veteran player Mohammad Nabi. Karim Janat, Mohammad Ishaq, and Noor Ahmad are a few names that have joined the side since the 2022 edition of the T20 World Cup

The Afghanistan team consists of 6 all-rounders, four batters, and five bowlers. The team has focused on adding a lot of rounders that provide them depth in both bat and bowling. Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Gulbadin Naib, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Nangyal Kharoti are the team's all-rounders. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran are two explosive batters in top order and will have the responsibility to provide them with good starts.

The team also has some good pacers with Naveen-ul-Haq, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Fareed Ahmad Malik. They already have some extraordinary spinners on their side from Rashid to Omarzai, Noor Ahman, and Mujeeb-ur-Rahman. Afghanistan has dropped destructive opening batter Hazratullah Zazai but he will be available in the reserves along with Sediq Atal and Saleem Safi.
