The India A team reduced New Zealand A side to just 219 runs in the second of three unofficial ODI matches between the two teams. India A is being led by Sanju Samson and in the second match, chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav once again proved his mettle with a hat-trick that helped wrap up the New Zealand A innings for a below-par score.

Umran began the rout
The second match, which is going on in the Chepauk stadium in Chennai, saw the New Zealand A team win the toss and choose to bat first. This did not deter the Indian bowlers and took advantage of the situation instead. They did not allow the New Zealand batters to settle in the crease, despite a strong start.

Openers Chad Bowers and Rachin Ravindra started off with a 32-run partnership. That's when Umran Malik sent Bowers back to the pavilion, giving India their first breakthrough. After this, the Kiwi wickets kept falling at regular intervals, while Kuldeep Yadav single-handedly wrapped up the lower order.

Hat-trick hero
New Zealand's team were on 219 runs for the loss of seven wickets. This was when Kuldeep Yadav was given the 47th over of the innings. He had one wicket to his name already — dismissing Sean Solia for 28 runs — when he started his onslaught on the lower order.

He got Logan van Beek (4) caught by Prithvi Shaw on the fourth ball of his over. On the next ball, Joe Walker was dismissed for a golden duck after the ball went straight into the hands of wicketkeeper Sanju Samson. On the last ball of his over, he completed a hat-trick for India A by running Jacob Duffy out for another golden duck. Although Kuldeep had taken a wicket even before his hat-trick. Kuldeep finished the innings with 51 runs and took four wickets in his 10 overs.

Can India win the series?
