Ashwin and Sundar create history

This is the first time in a men's Test innings that right-arm off-spinners have claimed all ten wickets for the India team. And what a commanding display both of the Tamil Nadu spinners have given. Washington Sundar completed what Ravichandran Ashwin had begun. Ashwin started things by taking the first three wickets and after that, it was all Sundar who took the remaining seven wickets.

Five of Sundar's seven wickets came in the form of bowled as the all-rounder completely dominated the visiting side with his exceptional bowling skills.

Devon Conway (76 off 141) and Rachin Ravindra (65 off 105) were a their best again and played stand-out knocks for the Kiwis. However, both of them failed to turn their spectacular starts into big knocks. Apart from them, no other batter could hit a fifty and as a result, New Zealand went from 197/4 to 259/10.
