The first T20I between Babar Azam-led Pakistan cricket team and Michael Bracewell's New Zealand at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium ended with no result due to persistent rain. After a long delay, the game was brought down to five overs on each side but bad weather just didn't allow the game to proceed more than two balls. Shaheen Afridi did dismiss the young debutant Tim Robinson on a two-ball duck but the match could not get past it. Now both teams will try to pick up a win and get a lead in the second T20I that will be played at the same venue, on April 20 (Saturday). However, now there are only four matches left in the series.
The fans were also excited to see the return of veteran pacer Mohammad Amir, who was going to play his first match after coming out of retirement but didn't get the chance to bowl. Hopefully, rain and bad weather won't spoil the match proceedings.
