The 33-year-old Williamson also achieved another remarkable feat by becoming the joint second-fastest to reach 31 Test hundreds, alongside Australia's Steve Smith. Sachin Tendulkar holds the record, accomplishing this milestone in his 165th innings.
Williamson became the fifth Kiwi batter to score two centuries in one match. Others who have achieved this are Glenn Turner, Geoff Howarth, Andrew Jones, and Peter Fulton.
His conversion rate is impressive, as he has turned 10 out of his last 11 scores of fifty or more into centuries in Test matches. Furthermore, he holds the record for the most Test centuries (3) at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.
