Former India captain and maverick batter, Virat Kohli smashed his third century in the last four ODI games during the final match of the series against Sri Lanka on January 15 (Sunday) at the Greenfield International Stadium in Trivandrum. During his majestical knock of 166 runs off 110 balls, Kohli smashed 13 fours and eight sixes, which thoroughly entertained the crowd inside the stadium and millions watching on television. On the back of Kohli's wonderous knock, India posted a total of 390/5 in 50 overs, which was their fourth-highest in 50-over white-ball cricket.

The cricket fraternity and fans reveled in Kohli's latest masterclass as social media went on an overdrive with fans singing praises of the maverick batter. Former South Africa captain and legendary batter, AB de Villers reacted to Kohli's wonderous knock on January 16 (Monday). Kohli's former teammate at Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), summed it up in just four words.

"Virat Kohli! Different level," de Villiers said in a tweet.

Kohli bagged the Man of the series Award after he registered two centuries in the three-game series against Sri Lanka. The stylish right-handed batter scored 283 runs in three innings at a stunning strike rate of 137.38 and a fabulous average of 141.50.

He is now just three tons short of Sachin Tendulkar's tally of 49 ODI centuries, but Kohli is not interested in personal milestones.

"It is the by-product of the intent I have, my mindset is to help the team, and put the team in a strong position," Kohli said after winning the Player of the Series and Player of the Match awards.

"I have played for the right reasons and that has helped. Ever since I came back from the break, I am feeling good and I don't have the desperation to get to a milestone.

"I want to continue doing that and I'm content. I was happy to be batting out there and in that space, I end up playing good cricket.

"I am in a nice space right now, it's just about being organic," he added.
