Former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif met with ex-captain MS Dhoni at the Mumbai airport on June 5 (Monday). Dhoni, who was departing for Ranchi after undergoing successful knee surgery, posed for pictures with Kaif and his family. In the pictures shared by Kaif on his social media handles, both his and Dhoni's family were spotted together and had a brief interaction. Kaif also revealed the interaction Dhoni had with his son, Kabir.

"We met the great man and his family at airport today. He was returning home after surgery. Son Kabir super happy as Dhoni told him he too, like him, played football as a kid. Get well soon, see you next season champion," Kaif said in a Tweet.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Dhoni underwent successful surgery on his knee at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai days after winning his fifth Indian Premier League (IPL) title.

Sports Medicine specialist Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala conducted the operation on the former Indian skipper Pardiwala had previously operated on Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant who has been sidelined for an indefinite period after the unfortunate accident.

Dhoni was admitted to the hospital on May 31 evening. He played the whole IPL season with a knee problem. Often, he was seen batting and wicketkeeping with a knee brace.

The recovery period is still unknown. However, it is projected that he will be back to his former self after a couple of months.
Dhoni continued to march on despite a knee injury that limited his mobility. Known for being lightning quick not just behind the stumps but between the wickets too, Dhoni refrained from pushing himself to sneak an extra run. Instead, he relied on his power-hitting and contributed with cameos down the order. He was flexible with his batting position as well, arriving at the crease when the team required quick runs.
