Yash Dhull and skipper Nitish Rana struck impressive half-centuries as Delhi wrapped up their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) campaign with an 18-run win against Uttarakhand.

Notably, this was Delhi's third win in seven outings and they are currently placed in third in Group D after Jharkhand and Rajasthan. Jharkhand and Rajasthan moved into the next round of the T20 tournament.

Dhull, who scored 52 from 37 balls, and Rana, who made 51 from 29 deliveries, both had a good run in the competition. Still, Delhi fell short of reaching the Super 8 stage, mainly because of a poor start earlier in the season.

Delhi posted 162 for seven in their 20 overs and then restricted Uttarakhand to 144 for seven. Prashant Chopra was the standout for Uttarakhand with 54 off 50 balls. Leg-spinner Suyash Sharma and Digvesh Singh Rathi each picked up two wickets, helping slow down the scoring.

Jharkhand at the top of the table

In the same group, Jharkhand cemented their top spot with a 36-run win over Rajasthan, keeping their unbeaten record intact. They put up a powerful total of 215 for five, thanks to quick, aggressive knocks from Virat Singh (69 off 36), captain Kushagra (55 off 37), and Robin Minz (58 off 27). Rajasthan replied with 179 in 19.2 overs.
