Former Australia speedster Ian Harvey has been appointed as Nepal's men's bowling consultant ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026, which will take place in India and Sri Lanka. The marquee event is scheduled to start from February 7, and the title decider will take place on March 7.
Harvey will join the coaching staff led by Stuart Law, who is currently serving as Nepal's head coach. Harvey, who was a part of Australia's 2003 World Cup-winning team, is known for his variations and changes of pace as a bowler, and brings with him considerable international and domestic experience. He represented Australia in 73 ODIs, where he picked up 85 wickets and scored 715 runs. After announcing his retirement, Harvey went on to coach Gloucestershire.
Nepal's T20 World Cup 2026 schedule
Nepal will start their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against England on February 8 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai; the side will play all its Group Games in Mumbai. Matches featuring Pakistan and one of the semifinals will take place in Sri Lanka, and the venue for the final depends on Pakistan's qualification. If the Men in Green manage to seal their berth for the title decider, it will take place in Sri Lanka. Otherwise, India will host the finale.

Nepal were part of the 2024 World Cup as well, where they played four matches and remained winless. India won that edition of the tournament defeated South Africa in the final in Barbados.
