Bumrah to be unavailable for NZ series?

Sports Tak has also learned that Jasprit Bumrah will also be added to the squad for the T20 World Cup, but will likely be missing out on the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand at home that will be held in January. This isn't very surprising as the team management would want to properly manage the star pacer's workload heading into the mega tournament where he is expected to play a key role. On the other hand, he is expected to feature in the five-match T20I series against the Black Caps that will commence from January 21.

IND vs SA series decider in Ahmedabad

Meanwhile, India are currently leading the ongoing T20I series against South Africa by 2-1. They won the first and third game while the visitors came out on top in the second match. The fourth encounter got abandoned due to there being excessive fog around the pitch at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. This led to South Africa's chances of winning the series drain away and the best that they can do now is to win the fifth match and end the assignment at 2-2. The final match of the series will be held at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on December 19.

The tournament will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka with the opening game set to be played between Pakistan and Natherlands. Two other matches will take place on the opening day of the competition including West Indies vs Bangladesh and India vs USA.
