Live India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2026 score: India continued their strong record against Pakistan in ICC tournaments with a comfortable 61-run win in the T20 World Cup clash in Colombo.
Batting first, India posted 175 for 7, thanks mainly to a superb knock from Ishan Kishan. The left-hander played with confidence on a tricky pitch, scoring 77 runs from just 40 balls. His innings included some classy strokes and smart placement, especially when the surface was not easy for free-flowing shots.
India didn’t have the best of starts. Abhishek Sharma was dismissed in the very first over by Salman Ali Agha, which put early pressure on the team. But Kishan didn’t let that affect him. He kept the scoreboard moving and punished anything loose.
Most of the other Indian batters found it difficult to clear the boundary regularly, especially against Pakistan’s spinners. Captain Suryakumar Yadav made a steady 32 off 27 balls, trying to build partnerships in the middle overs. Pakistan relied heavily on spin, with Agha bowling only two overs of pace in the innings.
Among the Pakistan bowlers, off-spinner Saim Ayub stood out. He picked up three wickets for 25 runs in his four overs and kept things tight when India were looking to accelerate.
Chasing 176, Pakistan never really got going. The Indian bowlers kept striking at regular intervals and didn’t allow any big partnership to develop. Pakistan were eventually bowled out for 114 in 18 overs.
Jasprit Bumrah was impressive once again, finishing with figures of 2 for 17, while Axar Patel also made an impact with 2 for 19. Both the pacers and spinners worked well together to wrap up the game.
In the end, it was a convincing win for India, adding another memorable chapter to their rivalry with Pakistan in ICC events.
