There is no rain in Colombo as of now, and the sun also come out for the first time of the day. However, the weather in Sri Lanka is unpredictable, and it can change at any time. So there are still chances that rain will play spoilsport before the clash. 

India and Pakistan last faced each other in a T20I against each other in Colombo 14 years back, in 2012, where the Men in Blue came victorious. It was a Super 8 match in the 2012 T20 World Cup where India defeated Pakistan for the third time. The side last defeated them in the 2007 T20 World Cup - group stage game and the final.

Suryakumar Yadav-led India refused to shake hands with Pakistan during their last three outings in the Asia Cup, as both sides are again facing each other. There is a lot of talk on whether India will continue the no handshake policy or if ICC intervenes to make them shake hands again.

Done." Apart from that, his parents are also there in Colombo. The batter looked fit on the match eve. Apart from Abhishek, there are chances that India will go with an extra spinner, considering the conditions in Colombo. There is a high possibility that Kuldeep Yadav might come in place of Arshdeep Singh. Otherwise, Washington Sundar might replace Rinku Singh to add depth in batting.

India's destructive batter Abhishek Sharma, whose participation was dicey in the team's T20 World Cup 2026 clash against Pakistan, had an impressive practice session in Colombo, blazing through his big shots at the nets. The southpaw was forced to miss India's last clash against Namibia and spent a day at a private hospital in New Delhi because of a stomach bug.

Once finished batting against spinners, the 25-year-old shifted to the left-side nets to tackle pacers and did an equally fluent job.

There are talks about how Team India will take on their rivals' spin attack, which has as many as five players. Notably, the Men in Blue have played 12 overs bowled by left-arm bowlers where they hammered 153 runs, including 15 fours and 10 sixes and a strike rate of over 212.

The India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match is set to start at 7:00 PM local time, with the toss scheduled at 6:30 PM.

Colombo is expected to reach a high of 34°C and a low of 24°C, with relative humidity ranging from 85% to 50%. A weather advisory from the Department of Meteorology, Sri Lanka, for February 15 also reads "Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of the morning."

Pakistan have already played their two T20 World Cup 2026 games in Sri Lanka, as the Men in Green are playing all their matches in the Island nation, so they might be comfortable with the conditions. On the other hand, India travelled to Colombo on February 13, two days before the high-voltage tie. However, consedaring previous records and India's performance in the shortest format of the game the side is invinsible.
