Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have announced their squad for the upcoming ICC Men's Under-19 World Cup 2026 and Azizul Hakim will lead the side in the mega event.
Bangladesh's performance in youth ODIs
Bangladesh have chosen to stick with their tried-and-tested performers from the past two years for the upcoming World Cup. The team has been very active at the youth level, playing more Youth ODIs than any other country since the 2024 World Cup. In 2025 alone, Bangladesh played in 28 Youth ODIs and registered 17 wins

The bowling attack is equally impressive, featuring Bangladesh’s top three wicket-takers of 2025: fast bowlers Iqbal Hossain (34 wickets) and Al Fahad (33 wickets), along with left-arm spinner Samiun Basir (29 wickets). Al Fahad returns to the squad after missing the Under-19 Asia Cup in December, replacing Md Sobuj.

Bangladesh will face a challenging Group B, which includes India, New Zealand, and the USA. From each group, three teams will advance to the Super Sixes, followed by the semi-finals and the final. Bangladesh will need to be at their best to compete in this tough group.
