Vidarbha opener Aman Mokhade has become the joint fastest player to reach 1,000 runs in List A cricket; he reached the milestone in just 16 innings. The 24-year-old has also equalled the record of South Africa's great Graeme Pollock, who has also achieved the same milestone in the same number of innings.
Mokhade becomes fastest to reach the milestone
Mokhade is now the quickest Indian to reach the milestone, going past Devdutt Padikkal and Abhinav Mukund, who both took 17 innings. He reached the milestone during Vidarbha’s Vijay Hazare Trophy semi-final against Karnataka. The stylish batter played a superb knock of 138 from 122 balls in the semis against Karnataka. His innings helped Vidarbha cruise to a comfortable six-wicket win at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.

Mokhade's current form
The left-handed batter is in the form of his life. He made his debut in the 2022–23 season, it is this year that he has truly come into his own. In the first leg of the 2025–26 Ranji Trophy, he scored 577 runs in just seven innings at an impressive average of over 96, including three centuries and a half-century.
Mokhade's performance in SMAT
Mokhade also finished as Vidarbha’s top run-scorer in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy earlier in the season and has carried that form into the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He is currently the leading run-scorer of the domestic fifty-over tournament with 781 runs in nine innings, averaging close to 98. His tally includes five hundreds and one fifty, with the five centuries being the joint-most by any player in a single Vijay Hazare season.
Mokhade's performance in VHT
He began the tournament with a century against Bengal and followed it up with scores of 82 and 139 against Hyderabad and Jammu & Kashmir. After a rare low score against Chandigarh, he bounced back strongly with centuries against Baroda and Uttar Pradesh. His latest hundred in the semi-final has pushed Vidarbha to the brink of their maiden Vijay Hazare Trophy title.
