The trio of Shubman GillKL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja are all set to play Vijay Hazare Trophy in January, 2026. According to a report by Cricbuzz, the three Indian cricketers have confirmed their availability for the domestic tournament by informing their respective state associations about it.

Fixtures that the trio are expected to play

Though Team India have a three-match ODI series against New Zealand coming up, the trio are still expected to play the Vijay Hazare Trophy. According to the report, Gill is expected to play for Punjab  against Goa and Sikkim on January 3 and 6 respectively. Rahul is also likely to play for Karnataka on the same dates where they will be taking on Tripura and Rajasthan respectively. On the other hand, Jadeja is expected to play the games on January 6 and 8  where Saurashtra will go up against Services and Gujarat respectively.

Gill is expected to link-up with the Indian team in Baroda on January 7-8 as they prepare for the New  Zealand ODIs. Rahul and Jadeja are also expected to feature in the series and that is why are reported to  play the rounds that will get concluded before the beginning of the assignment against the Black Caps.

Star power in Vijay Hazare Trophy

Many centrally contracted Indian players have already featured in the ongoing edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Rohit Sharma played in Mumbai's opening two rounds against Sikkim and Uttarakhand, but it is confirmed that he won't be featuring in any of the team's remaining matches. He scored a phenmenal hundred in the first game, but got dismissed for a golden duck in the next match. Though Rohit left the Mumbai team mid-way, their batting order got strengthened once again as Yashasvi Jaiswal confirmed his avai9lability for the tournament.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli had also played Delhi's opening two games of the tournament against Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat. His final appearance of the competition will come in the match against Railways on January 6. Kohli looked to be in great touch in the two games that he played as he recorded scores of 131 and 77 respectively.
