Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian women's cricket team will be taking on Nigar Sultana's Bangladesh women's cricket team in the first semi-final of the ongoing edition of the Women's Asia Cup 2024 at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium in Dambulla, on July 26 (Friday). India are on a dominant run and remained unbeaten in their group. They defeated Pakistan, UAE, and Nepal respectively in a dominant fashion in one-sided clashes. They would be eyeing a similar performance in their upcoming clash against Bangladesh.
Bangladesh women beat Malaysia by 114 runs to seal semi-final spot
Bangladesh women picked up a massive 114-run win against Malaysia in their final group game to seal their spot in the semis. Riding on Murshida Khatun and captain Nigar Sultana's astonishing half-centuries, BAN-W managed to post a massive total of 191/2 runs in 20 overs. Then they were absolutely dominating with the ball as well.

They held back Malaysia women to a paltry score of 77/8 in the second inning to pick up a solid victory. Nahida Akter was the pick of bowlers as she got two wickets in her four-over spell and gave away just 13 runs, while the rest of the bowlers got one wicket each. Rumana Ahmen who only bowled one over and was the only wicket-less Bangladesh bowler. Murshida Khatun won the Player of the Match for her 80-run knock-off 59 balls.
Sri Lanka to face Pakistan in 2nd semi-final
Sri Lanka is the only other unbeaten team in these top four sides. They too had a dominant run in their group and now they will be up against Pakistan in the second semi-final. Both of the semis will be played on the same day. If both India and Pakistan win the match, were can get to witness another IND vs PAK clash in this tournament but this time in the Final.
