FIFA World Cup 2022: When will the semifinals of the biggest sport event take place; know all details here

The excitement of the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar has reached the business end with just five matches left in the tournament. Four teams — Argentina, Croatia, Morocco and England/France — have qualified for the penultimate match of the mega event after excellent performances in the quarterfinals.

Here, we take a look at when and between which teams will the semifinal matches of the World Cup take place:

Argentina vs Croatia
The first semifinal match of the World Cup will be played between Argentina and Croatia. It will be a second semis appearance for Lionel Messi as Argentina would hope to win the World Cup title for a third time. Meanwhile, Croatia, who finished as runners-up in 2018, will need to stop the Albiceleste.

Morocco vs France
Defending champions France will square off against giant slayers Morocco, who became the first African nation to qualify for the semi-finals in FIFA World Cup. The match will be played at Al Bayt Stadium on Thursday (December 15) morning at 12:30 am IST. 

When is the second semi-final?
Morocco will face France/England in the second semifinal of the FIFA World Cup. The match is set to happen at the Al Bayt on Thursday (December 15) morning at 12:30 am IST. All matches will be telecast on Sports 18 Network HD/SD and MTV HD, and live broadcast on JIO Cinema.
