Pro Kabaddi League is getting ready for its 11th season.

The auction will be held in Mumbai.

Kabaddi has long been one of the most popular and well-liked sports in the Indian sporting ecosystem. Pro Kabaddi League stars Pardeep Narwal and Maninder Singh visited the Mumbai Public School, a government school supported by Disney Star in collaboration with Yuva Unstoppable, for the special flag hoisting ceremony as the nation commemorates Independence Day. Kabaddi, the sport that is so ingrained in India's culture, took center stage.

Pardeep and Maninder, two of the most adored kabaddi players in the country, played kabaddi with the school's kabaddi team after the ceremony. The two kabaddi legends presented the Mumbai Public School with gifts and a token of appreciation on behalf of the Pro Kabaddi League following a very enjoyable session. The school's cultural program was the final activity of the morning.

"Kabaddi is a very important part of India’s culture, and it has been played from before independence as well. I am very happy to see that so many kids are still very interested in the sport. Today has been a heart-warming moment for us, here with the students at the special flag hoisting ceremony. I would also like to wish everyone a Happy Independence Day," said Pardeep Narwal.

"Every corner in our country has kids playing kabaddi and we hope to see this continue for years to come. Kabaddi is in everyone’s blood and the love people show for the sport, keeps us motivated. I want to thank every Indian for doing their bit to support Kabaddi, and I hope they continue to do so. And we would also like to thank the PKL as they have helped make the sport better from all aspects. Happy Independence Day, India," said Maninder Singh.

Through their CSR project, The School Transformation Program, Disney Star and Yuva Unstoppable have been transforming government schools across India for the past four years, affecting thousands of students positively. Through a variety of interventions, including WASH support, STEM labs, digital classrooms, sports facilities, libraries, new classrooms, and solar electrification, this one-of-a-kind initiative aims to promote education and lower dropout rates. The program aims to build schools that are environmentally conscious and technologically advanced, paving the way for a better future. It has reached schools in Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Bengaluru, Kochi, Keezhillam, Kothamangalam, Trivandrum, Hyderabad, Chennai, and other cities.
